“The thing about growing up with Fred and George,” said Ginny thoughtfully, “is that you sort of start thinking anything’s possible if you’ve got enough nerve.”

J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Rowling was born in 1965. Her first work, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, was published when she was 32.

Rowling’s life story and how she finally published her first book is amazing. This line from Ginny here is something that can be said for how I feel about Rowling. She first had the idea for Harry Potter in 1990, when she was 25. She continue writing the book while grieving the loss of her mother, and then the breakdown of her marriage. It’s astounding what she’s accomplished.

Rowling definitely had enough nerve.
