Context: Hazel, the adopted granddaughter of Isaac, is homeless. She joked with her grandfather that it was in her DNA, and this was his response to her.

This quote stuck out to me because I found it was an interesting point of view–that our lives are predetermined by our DNA and that to tell our own futures, we’d merely need to learn how to read it.
